Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must currently possess 100 ton license with a satisfactory record
- Minimum of five years marine experience preferably including two years as a captain with an outstanding record
- Detailed working knowledge of ship systems and their maintenance
- Must be able to operate vessel following Coast Guard rules and procedures
- Vessel handling and navigation knowledge required
- Able to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Able to effectively deal with internal and external guests with patience, tact, and diplomacy
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Word and Excel
- Must submit to pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
Job Qualifications

- Compliance with DOT drug and alcohol testing policies

Job Duties
- Rotate as cruise captain on cruises ensuring adherence to Product Management Guide procedures
- Gather cruise event details to fulfill special guest requests
- Conduct pre-cruise meetings communicating necessary information to crew
- Ensure staff and guest compliance with safety standards and procedures
- Participate in Safety Program execution including emergency drills
- Maintain ship systems and boarding facilities including gangways and fire suppression
- Ensure compliance with Coast Guard and local regulations
- Enforce strict adherence to Emergency Response Plan
- Execute projects assigned by management
- Recruit non-exempt operations staff as needed
- Deliver training to new crew members
- Schedule crew according to staffing requirements
- Adhere to performance management guidelines for discipline and termination
- Recommend crew promotion to Marine Management
- Foster positive working relationships with city department heads and peers
- Promote teamwork within staff
- Resolve guest issues in conjunction with Restaurant Manager
- Oversee safety program implementation per Coast Guard regulations
- Complete all shift documentation including checklists and payroll
- Accurately complete incident reports
- Administer payroll processes including scheduling and processing
- Perform collateral duties such as uniform management and routine vessel maintenance
- Schedule crew to optimize payroll efficiency
- Attend scheduled meetings
- Assist with accounting tasks including invoice processing
