Fond du Lac Cannabis Corp operates under the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, a sovereign Ojibwe nation dedicated to supporting its community through a variety of programs and enterprises including gaming, tribal government, health services, and education. The Fond du Lac Cannabis Corp manages a state-of-the-art cannabis dispensary and lounge located onsite at the Fond du Lac Dispensary. This role offers a salaried, exempt position with an annual pay range of $56,063.84 to $63,071.82 and includes a probationary period of 180 days. The cannabis dispensary manager position is critical in leading daily operations, managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and facilitating a premium customer experience in a welcoming and refined lounge atmosphere.
The dispensary manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dispensary and lounge operations including sales, marketing, inventory management, financial record keeping, security, and compliance with cannabis industry regulations. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of cannabis products and consumption methods and involves direct responsibility for staff recruitment, training, retention, and scheduling. The manager must promote a positive customer environment, ensure beverage quality and presentation, train staff in espresso craft and cafe etiquette, and develop enhancements like curated product pairings and seasonal beverage offerings to elevate guest experience.
Additionally, the manager oversees product procurement, negotiates with wholesalers to maintain adequate inventory, monitors cash handling procedures, and ensures strict adherence to ID verification, purchase limits, packaging rules, and tracking systems such as Metrc. The role demands strong business management, analytical, and organizational skills along with excellent oral and written communication capabilities. A key part of the position also involves maintaining confidentiality of financial and personnel records and representing the Fond du Lac Band in a professional and courteous manner within the community.
Physical requirements include the ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 45 pounds, walk, stand, climb, push and pull. The work environment exposes employees to indoor conditions including smoking and fluorescent lighting. The candidate must be at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a minimum of three years retail experience with at least one year in retail management. Experience in the regulated cannabis industry is preferred, along with training completion such as POS/inventory systems and Metrc certification during the probationary period. Occasional travel is also required.

Job Requirements
- No driver's license required
- 21 years of age or older required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Three years of retail experience with one year of retail management experience required
- Comprehensive knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods required
- Must complete POS/inventory tracking system training and onboarding during probationary period
- Must complete Metrc training and certification with a score no less than 75% during probationary period and annually
- Must possess strong business management, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing required
- Ability to work independently and establish priorities required
- Attention to detail and accuracy required
- Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing according to personnel policies
- Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks
- Travel is required

Job Duties
- Provides management of the daily operations of the cannabis dispensary & lounge, including sales, customer service, marketing, inventory management, financial records, compliance, and security
- Provide excellent customer service and positive experience for customers to maintain a refined, lounge-quality atmosphere where all guest feels welcome, respected, and valued
- Train all dispensary staff to provide excellent customer experience
- Ensure beverage operations meet standards for quality, consistency, and presentation
- Oversee recipe adherence, equipment maintenance, and drink bar cleanliness
- Maintain strict adherence to ID verification, purchase limits, packaging rules, and Metrc aligned tracking as applicable
- Support development of seasonal, signature, or infused beverages
