Temporary associates must be available for work on a weekly basis for up to 90 days, with occasional weekend shifts and flexibility for opening, midday, or closing shifts.\n\nPhysically, the role demands frequent movement within the store, the ability to remain in stationary positions for extended periods, frequent lifting, and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Job Requirements

  • minimum age of 16 years for temporary employment
  • availability to work on a weekly basis for a period of 90 days or less for temporary positions
  • flexible scheduling including opening, midday, or closing shifts
  • ability to follow food handling or safety certification if required
  • capacity to perform physical tasks such as frequent lifting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
  • compliance with COVID-19 safety protocols and campus vaccination requirements if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age to be considered for temporary employment
  • previous food handling experience preferred
  • confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience
  • an outstanding attitude with the willingness to learn and the capability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment
  • basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills
  • flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods

Job Duties

  • assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments

  • take initiative to support store operations including operating equipment and cash register while ensuring speed of service and accurate transactions
  • keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space within the store
  • prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold food and drinks following prescribed recipes and techniques
  • set up or restock displays, wrap, label, date, and rotate food items for sale
  • maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following cleaning, sanitation, and operational standards
  • routine housekeeping including dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal
