Job Requirements
- minimum age of 16 years for temporary employment
- availability to work on a weekly basis for a period of 90 days or less for temporary positions
- flexible scheduling including opening, midday, or closing shifts
- ability to follow food handling or safety certification if required
- capacity to perform physical tasks such as frequent lifting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- compliance with COVID-19 safety protocols and campus vaccination requirements if applicable
Job Qualifications
- candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age to be considered for temporary employment
- previous food handling experience preferred
- confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience
- an outstanding attitude with the willingness to learn and the capability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment
- basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills
- flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods
Job Duties
- assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments
- provide a friendly atmosphere by greeting customers and focusing on their positive experience throughout their visit
- take initiative to support store operations including operating equipment and cash register while ensuring speed of service and accurate transactions
- keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space within the store
- prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold food and drinks following prescribed recipes and techniques
- set up or restock displays, wrap, label, date, and rotate food items for sale
- maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following cleaning, sanitation, and operational standards
- routine housekeeping including dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal
