Job Description
The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), established in 1969, is a leading educational institution committed to advancing the aviation maintenance industry through outstanding education and training. With an extensive network of 15 campuses spread across the United States, AIM plays a pivotal role in the aviation sector, accounting for 20 percent of all students enrolled in FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) schools nationwide. Each year, AIM is proud to contribute to the graduation of nearly one in four certified aircraft technicians in America, underscoring its influence and reputation within the aviation community.
AIM is more than just a technical school; it is a vibrant hub where students, educators, and industry professionals come together with a shared mission to build skilled, employable, and essential aviation technicians. The institution places a strong emphasis on hands-on training, up-to-date curriculum, and industry-relevant skills that prepare graduates to meet the rigorous demands of the aviation maintenance field. Students at AIM benefit from cutting-edge facilities, experienced instructors, and a supportive learning environment that fosters both personal and professional growth.
The role of the Front Desk Campus Receptionist at AIM is a critical position, tasked with serving as the first point of contact for students, prospective students, visitors, and staff. Located at the 7251 W McCarty St campus in Indianapolis, IN, this part-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16 to $20. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm, with additional coverage on selected Saturdays.
As a Campus Receptionist, you will help create a welcoming and organized campus atmosphere while supporting the Admissions team with a variety of administrative duties. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and professionalism as you will be responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, managing incoming calls, maintaining a clean and professional front desk area, and entering important information into the CampusNexus system. The position also involves tracking and reporting activity related to interviews and financial aid appointments, maintaining lead records, and assisting with follow-up communications.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a busy, team-focused environment and enjoys contributing to the success and smooth operation of an educational institution. AIM values your contributions and offers a workplace culture dedicated to collaboration, professionalism, and student achievement. As an equal opportunity employer, AIM is committed to diversity, inclusion, and fostering a respectful, equitable work environment for all employees. Joining AIM as a Campus Receptionist means becoming a vital part of an institution that helps shape the future of aviation maintenance by supporting students every step of the way.
