Job Qualifications
- Must be enthusiastic, positive and customer service centered
- Experience in event planning, hospitality, and high-quality customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of Dominican University and its student body
- Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team
- Ability to work in a relationship-centered, culturally responsive manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and departmental technology
- Strong self-motivation, tact, diplomacy and professionalism
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission and goals of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
- Preferred proficiency in Spanish reading, writing, and speaking.
Job Duties
- Provide student leadership in recruiting, the hiring process, onboarding/training, and recognition of the student ambassadors
- Create energy and excitement for the ambassador team to serve as key university representatives
- Serve as the lead in designing student ambassador learning and professional development materials
- Create team-building and fun opportunities for student ambassadors and provide relevant coaching and mentoring
- Maintain, update, and create campus tour routes and scripts to ensure high-impact, customer-service focused experiences
- Offer support for the design of specialized event campus tours including various durations, languages, and accessibility routes
- Oversee scheduling and information-sharing platform, The BAND, and encourage ambassador participation in tours and events
- Lead high-impact campus tours and engage with prospective students and guests
- Support the Welcome Center and campus visitor team during daily and group visits
- Serve as a liaison between student ambassadors/assistants and professional staff
- Manage pre/day/post event support and check-in experiences during admission events.
