The Campus Chef role at Savannah State University, part of the Elior Collegiate Dining team, presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced culinary professional looking to contribute to a dynamic campus dining program. This full-time, onsite position is ideal for a motivated and skilled chef passionate about preparing delicious, healthy meals and leading culinary operations. The Campus Chef will play a pivotal role in overseeing food production, ensuring quality standards, managing costs, and participating in the planning and execution of special dining events. In this role, the Campus Chef will be responsible for supervising all aspects of food production including purchasing, meal preparation, service, and sanitation, maintaining rigorous quality standards at every step. They will develop standardized recipes and utilize production tools to meet both food quality and cost objectives efficiently. Moreover, the Campus Chef will contribute to special event planning, bringing innovation and organizational skills to help create memorable dining experiences tailored to the campus community. This position requires someone with at least five years of progressive culinary experience, proficiency in Microsoft software programs, and familiarity with budget statements, ensuring effective kitchen management and financial oversight.
