The park prides itself on maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for visitors and staff alike, which is essential to its continued reputation and success. Carowinds is committed to providing rewarding employment opportunities with flexible schedules suitable for college students, retirees, and individuals seeking part-time work that is both enjoyable and impactful. The hourly wage for the Cabin Cleaner position is $15, reflecting the company’s commitment to fair compensation within the amusement and hospitality industry.
The Cabin Cleaner role at Carowinds is vital for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the campground cabins, which are a key lodging option within the park’s expansive offerings. This position requires detail-oriented individuals dedicated to maintaining pristine guest accommodations and public areas. Daily responsibilities include cleaning guest rooms—making beds, sanitizing bathroom fixtures, vacuuming, dusting, and replacing linens and amenities—to uphold Carowinds’ high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction. Additionally, cabin cleaners are responsible for the cleanliness of shared spaces such as hallways, pool areas, public bathrooms, and outdoor walkways. Operatives will work with a variety of cleaning chemicals following strict safety protocols outlined in safety data sheets and personal protective equipment usage to ensure both guest and employee safety.
Beyond cleaning duties, the role also involves guest interaction, including responding to requests and inquiries promptly and courteously, reporting maintenance issues, and handling lost and found items with care and accuracy. Cabin cleaners support the operational team by efficiently completing assigned tasks and assisting as needed, such as operating the campground tram for guest transportation around the campground. The role demands reliable individuals with an understanding of safety best practices and excellent judgment to maintain a welcoming environment.
Working at Carowinds provides access to numerous benefits and a dynamic work environment. Employees enjoy free admission to Carowinds and affiliated parks, free tickets for friends and family, as well as discounts on food and merchandise. The park fosters a culture of inclusiveness and community through exclusive associate-only events and opportunities to work with a diverse team from various backgrounds and locations. This role offers valuable resume-building experience, professional growth through training, and the fulfillment of contributing to a magical guest experience. Carowinds invites enthusiastic, service-minded candidates who are ready to contribute their skills and energy to apply for this role and become part of a company that values integrity, courtesy, and inclusiveness.
