Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous cooking or food service experience required
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong communication skills

Job Duties
- Assist the Kitchen & Hospitality Manager in planning, preparing, and serving meals for groups of various sizes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining hall environment
- Support in ordering, receiving, and storing food and supplies
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices in compliance with health and safety standards
- Supervise and assist kitchen volunteers or support staff as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests, ensuring positive dining experiences
- Work as part of the Food Service team to support the overall mission of YMCA Camp Carter
