Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in a bakery or customer service role preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and heavier items with assistance
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to following food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service-oriented environment preferred
- Knowledge of bakery products preferred
- At least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items
- Answer member calls and take special orders
- Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods following product handling information using ovens and other equipment
- Use bakery production charts as a guide for production and display needs
- Package freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items
- Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on production chart recommendations
- Decorate special order or case product
- Rotate and store bakery products following food safety, freshness, and product handling policies
- Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- Ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards
- Check for out-of-date products daily and follow salvage and stale product procedures
- Generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price check functions
- Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces in the bakery
- Operate and handle bakery equipment according to safety policies and procedures
- Maintain all club policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
