This position is a part-time role with a starting pay of $17 per hour. The job involves working on-site with a flexible schedule that includes Monday to Friday shifts, weekends, holidays, and day shifts, catering to those who enjoy a dynamic work environment and interacting with customers. As a Crew Member/Chill Staff, you will play an essential role in upholding the brand's commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role involves tasks such as preparing and decorating cakes, assembling and preparing soft serve and Blizzard cakes, and maintaining brand standards for quality and sanitation. You will operate and maintain cake production equipment safely, follow health regulations strictly, and ensure that all products comply with Dairy Queen's high standards of excellence. Additionally, you will support daily operations by stocking inventory, cleaning work areas, and assisting in keeping the restaurant clean and orderly.

Physical demands are an integral part of the position, requiring the ability to lift items up to 50 pounds and perform tasks under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting. Team members frequently move quickly throughout the customer service area, handle multiple customers at once, and deal with varying temperature ranges. The role demands good communication skills, including reading order monitors accurately and using effective recall methods to communicate product information. The ability to remain pleasant and alert to customer needs while working as part of a team is critical to success in this role.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and decorate cake products according to customer specifications and standards
  • operate and maintain cake and soft serve equipment safely
  • maintain adequate inventory of decorated cakes and display freezer levels
  • conduct product sampling and actively sell items
  • take and fill customer cake orders professionally and timely
  • work as a team member to ensure consistent quality, service, cleanliness, and value
  • clean work areas, stock and rotate products, and maintain sanitation according to PRIDE standards
  • wash counters, restrooms, mop floors and carry out other cleaning tasks
  • communicate significant issues and problems with management
  • perform other duties as requested by management staff
