The pay for this position starts at $17.50 per hour, though actual compensation may vary based on individual experience, skills, education, and location.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Completion of job specific skills assessment
- 6 to 12 months related experience or apprenticeship program completion
- Ability to operate bakery equipment
- Availability to work flexible hours
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Duties
- Fill tables and cases with cakes by taking product from prep area to sales area
- Follow proper procedures to ensure store meets out-of-stock percentage goals
- Apply merchandising principles that will help to generate sales as well as wow the guest
- Take special orders from guests over the telephone and in person
- Maintain quality of product for sale by checking sales area for dates and condition of product
- Document and/or record daily known loss
- Maintain safety as the top priority in all aspects of work
- Provide exemplary customer service by greeting customers and assisting them
- Inspire fellow team members and guests with passion for food
- Properly handle products and equipment according to safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, and floor
- Prepare and decorate products for bakery cases and displays
- Maintain proper safety and sanitation methods
- Accurately record special orders on bakery products
- Maintain department procedures, daily setups, and order taking
- Stay current with new product knowledge and procedures
- Ice and decorate cakes by applying icing using spatulas and icing bags
- Prepare icing and products using recipes
- Assist in maintaining bakery backroom, cooler and freezer efficiency
- Operate department equipment including mixers, scales, and airbrush gun
- Assist in other areas as required
