Positioned in the vibrant city of St. Louis, this hotel offers guests a unique blend of elegance, comfort, and world-class service. Marriott International itself is celebrated for its commitment to quality, diversity, and inclusion, creating a supportive environment for both guests and employees. As a cornerstone in the hospitality industry, Marriott St. Louis Grand stands out for its dedication to culinary excellence, aiming to deliver memorable dining experiences that elevate the guest stay beyond expectations.

The Cake Baker role at Marriott St. Louis Grand is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals to join a dynamic and inventive culinary team. This position focuses on the precise crafting and baking of a wide range of pastries, cakes, bread, and other delectable baked goods that meet Marriott’s rigorous standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Working as a Cake Baker means contributing creatively and technically to a kitchen that thrives on quality and customer satisfaction.

This role is designed for individuals who are eager to apply their baking skills in a professional hotel environment and are capable of maintaining high standards for food safety and kitchen hygiene. The Cake Baker will be responsible for following established recipes meticulously, ensuring consistent quality with each batch. Apart from baking expertise, the Cake Baker will engage in the setup and cleanup of baking stations, manage ingredients carefully—measuring, mixing, and preparing them for daily baking operations—and operate baking equipment safely and efficiently. This position requires physical stamina to perform tasks such as standing for extended periods, moving and lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds, as well as bending and reaching as needed within a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Marriott St. Louis Grand fosters a collaborative work culture where team members support each other and communicate professionally to maintain a smooth kitchen operation. While the role does not involve supervisory responsibilities, it offers an invaluable chance for career growth within a respected hospitality company recognized for its commitment to diversity, equal opportunity, and professional development.

By joining Marriott St. Louis Grand as a Cake Baker, you become part of a globally respected brand that prioritizes employee well-being and offers comprehensive benefit programs. These include health insurance, flexible spending accounts, and paid time off, reinforcing the company’s dedication to supporting its associates both on and off the job. This role is ideal for entry-level bakers who are passionate about culinary arts and want to develop their skills within a structured and reputable hotel environment where innovation and quality baking are celebrated and encouraged.
