The Cage Cashier II position at Emerald Queen Casino plays a critical role in the financial operations of the casino floor. This role is responsible for managing the exchange of cash, checks, and gaming chips with patrons, ensuring smooth and accurate financial transactions. The position involves handling department fills, credits, bank reimbursements, and other related transactions, which are essential for maintaining the financial integrity of the casino’s cage operations. The Cage Cashier II is also tasked with preparing cash drawers, reconciling accounts, maintaining accurate records, and verifying transactions using CTLs. Furthermore, this role includes the maintenance of ticket redemption machines, ensuring they are stocked with the appropriate currency and in proper working order. Additional responsibilities include receiving cash revenues from count rooms and preparing daily deposits.

This full-time position offers a starting wage of $25.56 per hour plus tips, which increases to $26.43 per hour plus tips after successful completion of a 90-day orientation period.   • minimum six months previous cage cashier experience
  • good math skills
  • ten-key experience
  • ability to stand for longer than 8 hours
  • good manual and finger dexterity
  • good hand and eye coordination
  • ability to bend, reach and squat
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis
  • ability to tolerate a smoke filled environment
  • ability to work all scheduled shifts including day, swing, graveyard and holidays
  • Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and Washington State Gaming Commission

Job Duties

  • Receive and exchange cash, checks and gaming chips from patrons
  • handle and process department fills, credits and bank reimbursements and transactions
  • prepare cash drawers, reconciliation and accounting records
  • maintain records for accuracy
  • verify and record fills and credits utilizing CTLs
  • ensure ticket redemption machines are maintained and in proper working order with appropriate currency and coin levels
  • receive cash revenues from count rooms and prepare daily deposits
  • provide superior guest service to patrons and internal personnel
  • perform additional job duties as assigned by the department manager
