Job Requirements

  • minimum two years experience in a kitchen environment
  • strong customer service skills
  • strong verbal communication skills
  • knowledge of preparation and production of entrees, soups, and salads in banquet settings
  • ability to prepare quality food in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • ability to understand and follow recipes
  • customer interaction skills
  • prior kitchen experience of 2-3 years
  • prior experience in banquet service preferred
  • flexibility to work different stations
  • quick learning agility

Job Duties

  • prepare food for all stations including specials and other designated food areas
  • ensure sanitation and food safety in designated stations
  • track cycle menus and temperature control logs
  • assist cafe management with food production and catering projects
  • lead kitchen team in the absence of the chef
  • maintain food quality and integrity to build customer confidence
  • control kitchen costs and maximize revenue
