Job Duties
- Prepare food for all stations, specials, and other food stations
- maintain sanitation and food safety standards in designated food station
- track cycle menus and temperature control logs
- assist café management with food production, catering, and designated projects and events
- lead the team in the absence of the Chef
- prepare or direct preparation of regular and catering menu items according to prescribed menus and recipes
- set up caterings as needed
- improve operations and streamline work processes
- provide quality seamless customer service
- maintain food ordering sheets and assist with food ordering
- control cost and maximize revenue
- communicate professionally with business groups
- comply with employment, food handling, sanitation, and alcohol service policies and laws
- establish quality standards for menu items and food production
- assist in kitchen and catering preparations
- maintain sanitation certifications and exceed Health Department standards
- assist in putting away stock and manage kitchen equipment
- deliver catering orders as needed
- train to fill all café stations
- input recipes and invoices in computer-based programs
- maintain production logs
- assist in accounting procedures
- partner with cross-functional stakeholders
- work flexible schedule as required
- lift up to 50 pounds
- assist with all café duties and stations as required
