  • Knowledge of entree, soup, and salad preparation in banquets at high volume pace
  • Ability to prepare quality food in a fast-paced working environment

  • Customer interaction skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Prior kitchen experience of 2-3 years, high volume preferred
  • Prior experience in banquet service a plus
  • Flexibility of working different stations
  • Quick learning agility

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for all stations including specials
  • Maintain sanitation and food safety in food station
  • Track cycle menus and temperature control logs
  • Assist café management with food production, catering, and events
  • Lead team in absence of Chef
  • Control food costs and maximize revenue
  • Communicate professionally with business groups
  • Adhere to employment, food handling, sanitation, and alcohol service policies
  • Maintain quality standards for menu items
  • Maintain security of personnel and property
  • Assist in ordering food and stock management
  • Open kitchen and prepare equipment
  • Deliver catering orders
  • Train staff for various café stations
  • Follow recipe and operational specifications
  • Use computer-based recipe and inventory programs
  • Maintain production logs
  • Assist in accounting procedures
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Work a flexible schedule based on catering needs
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
