We are currently seeking a dedicated Café Server to join our vibrant team. This role is essential in delivering an outstanding café dining experience tailored to each guest’s preferences, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction. As a Café Server at the Hilton Milwaukee, you will be responsible for providing food and beverage service in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner. Your duties will include greeting guests, explaining specials and promotions, accurately recording orders using the Point of Sale system, delivering orders with appropriate condiments while adhering to liquor regulations, and ensuring beverages are replenished to maintain guest satisfaction. Additionally, you will handle payments, thank guests, and invite them to return, all while maintaining a clean and professional appearance. Job Requirements

  • prior food, beverage, cash handling and hospitality experience preferred
  • innate desire to serve and ability to maintain service and departmental standards
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • learn table settings, service ware, and menu items
  • proficient in English for menu comprehension, recording orders, and guest communication
  • recall and promote menu items
  • maintain professional demeanor and clean uniform

Job Duties

  • greet guests and explain specials and promotions
  • record and input guest orders into the point of sale system
  • retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments
  • follow liquor regulations
  • replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return
  • complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments
  • maintain self-banking procedures
  • perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
