Job Description

Tatte is a vibrant and esteemed café and bakery brand widely recognized for its commitment to quality, authentic hospitality, and a thoughtful approach to food and service. Known for its warm, inviting atmosphere and dedication to delivering an exceptional guest experience, Tatte upholds rigorous standards in its product offerings, ranging from artisanal baked goods to carefully crafted beverages and savory dishes. The company’s mission focuses on inspiring, caring for, and nurturing life every day, making Tatte not just a place to eat but a community-centered destination where guests feel truly welcomed and valued.

As a dynamic café and bakery establishment, Tatte prides itself on fostering a workplace where team members are encouraged to grow professionally while contributing to an environment that reflects the brand’s core values and unique culture. Tatte’s operational approach is rooted in collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement, ensuring that every guest encounter is met with genuine warmth and professionalism.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Café Manager to join our management team. This role is crucial in maintaining Tatte’s high standards of service and operational excellence across daily café activities. Primarily focused on leadership and execution within the café, the Café Manager plays a supervisory function with aspirations towards developing leadership skills and working towards a higher-level position such as Assistant General Manager.

The Café Manager’s principal responsibility is to coordinate and deploy the café team effectively during shifts, all while ensuring an outstanding guest experience. This involves hands-on leadership, where the Café Manager works side by side with the team to demonstrate and uphold Tatte’s service and product standards. The role demands an individual who can provide clear, specific, and timely feedback to team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and excellence.

Moreover, the Café Manager is instrumental in maintaining quality control by ensuring all products—beverage, bakery, and savory items—adhere strictly to recipe and visual standards while promptly managing any quality concerns with relevant teams. The position also requires a strong understanding of food safety, allergen information, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe café environment.

Communication is a key component of the job, as the Café Manager must skillfully handle difficult conversations with both team members and guests to uphold standards in a respectful and effective manner. Administrative responsibilities include cash handling, product ordering and receiving, managing time clock verifications, and conducting safety and sanitation audits according to Tatte’s policies.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging roughly between $23.50 to $27 per hour, commensurate with experience. The Café Manager position also provides a path of professional growth within Tatte along with flexible scheduling options, though it requires availability for shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be prepared for physically active shifts that may extend up to ten hours and involve standing, walking, lifting, and other motion-intensive tasks.

Joining Tatte means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to excellence, where managers are hired for the market with the understanding that placement will be at cafés within that locale. Tatte is proud to be an E-Verify employer and values diversity and inclusion in its hiring practices. If you are passionate about hospitality, leadership, and high-quality food service, we encourage you to apply and help us continue delivering a memorable experience for our guests.
