We are currently seeking a Cafe Host/Cashier to join our Culinary Team as an On-Call Host. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a fun yet professional team dedicated to operating a high-volume, high-quality food service cafe that serves a diverse group of Pixar employees and visiting guests. This position demands individuals who are hospitable, outgoing, hardworking, quick learners, detail-oriented, and experienced in serving high-caliber food. The successful candidate will play an integral role in delivering excellent customer experiences by managing food orders accurately, preparing coffee-based beverages, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and service standards of the cafe environment.

The Cafe Host/Cashier role is designed for those who enjoy working in a close-knit community where teamwork and exceptional service are paramount. Responsibilities include taking food orders using a point-of-sale system, processing payments, serving prepared pastries and other ready-to-eat items, and maintaining the dining and workstation areas. This is an on-call position that requires availability primarily on weekdays from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, offering nights, weekends, and holidays off to promote work-life balance.

Training will be provided for coffee beverage preparation, ensuring that new hires are equipped with the skills necessary to excel. The hiring range for this Emeryville-based position is $36,465 to $47,190 per year, with the final offer reflecting internal equity, candidate qualifications, and geographic considerations.
