The Urban Air Café Team Member position is an integral role within this thriving enterprise. This role involves serving guests efficiently with food and beverage offerings at the Urban Air Café, ensuring that every visitor enjoys a pleasant and memorable experience. Team Members will split their time between the kitchen and the service areas, handling responsibilities such as cashiering, food preparation, cooking, and guest interaction. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, delivering the highest standards of guest care and customer service.

Team Members are expected to maintain clean and orderly café and surroundings, manage stock levels effectively, and comply strictly with all health and safety regulations. Providing friendly and knowledgeable recommendations to guests, handling queues, upselling products to maximize profitability, and resolving guest concerns promptly are key aspects of the job. The role requires working within established operational procedures and actively participating in staff meetings and training sessions to advance skills and contribute to team success.

Ideal candidates will bring a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the capacity to multitask in a high-energy environment. Experience in quick-service or restaurant settings is preferred, along with certifications such as ServSafe or similar food handling credentials. Job Requirements

  • Have a friendly and engaging personality and is a good written and verbal communicator

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • Previous restaurant/quick service experience preferred
  • Basic math skills of adding and subtracting required
  • ServSafe or similar food handling certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate the highest standards of guest relations and care when assisting guests at the counter
  • Give advice, guidance and recommendations on products and menu selection to guests to ensure a positive experience and repeat business
  • Ensure adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for the Cafe area
  • Manage queues and exceed guest expectations
  • upsell to maximize profit
  • Keep Cafe and surrounding areas tidy and clean
  • this includes, but is not limited to, table clearing, removing and washing dishes, and taking out the trash
  • Handle guest complaints in the first instance and report feedback to the Leadership Team
  • Work within established guidelines and operating procedures
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Properly cook and store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Rotate stock items as per established procedure
  • Ensure compliance with all health code regulations
  • Maintain clear, well-organized kitchen and storage areas
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and training, as required
  • Other duties as tasked by Leadership
