Urban Air Brandon, a vibrant location within this expansive network, is currently seeking dedicated and energetic Café BOH/FOH Team Members. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring guests receive efficient, friendly service while enjoying the food and beverage offerings at the Urban Air Café. As a team member, you will split your time between kitchen duties and front-of-house tasks such as cashiering, food preparation, cooking, serving, and direct guest interaction. The position demands a fast-paced work ethic, a strong sense of urgency, and a passion for delivering exceptional service standards.

The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in both the kitchen and the dining areas, managing inventory to ensure adequate stock levels, and handling guest concerns promptly and professionally. Team members are also expected to participate actively in ongoing training and staff meetings to continuously enhance skills and service quality. This position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork, communication, and initiative are highly valued. Whether preparing menu items following strict health codes or assisting guests with menu selections and recommendations, this role requires a balance of operational efficiency and genuine hospitality. Job Requirements

  • Have a friendly and engaging personality and is a good written and verbal communicator
  • able to work under pressure

  • Work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
  • Work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
  • Move about facility and stand for long periods of time
  • Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • Previous restaurant/quick service experience preferred
  • Basic math skills of adding and subtracting required
  • ServSafe or similar food handling certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate the highest standards of guest relations and care when assisting guests at the counter
  • Give advice, guidance and recommendations on products and menu selection to guests to ensure a positive experience and repeat business
  • Ensure adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for the Café area
  • Manage queues and exceed guest expectations
  • upsell to maximize profit
  • Keep Café and surrounding areas tidy and clean
  • this includes, but is not limited to, table clearing, removing and washing dishes, and taking out the trash
  • Handle guest complaints in the first instance and report feedback to the Leadership Team
  • Work within established guidelines and operating procedures
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Properly cook and store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Rotate stock items as per established procedure
  • Ensure compliance with all health code regulations
  • Maintain clear, well-organized kitchen and storage areas
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and training, as required
  • Other duties as tasked by Leadership
