The role of the Café BOH/FOH Team Member at Urban Air Denison involves delivering outstanding customer service by efficiently serving food and beverages within the Urban Air Café environment. This position is essential in maintaining the high standards of guest relations and operational excellence that Urban Air is known for. Team members work both behind the scenes in the kitchen and on the front lines in the service area, managing cashier duties, preparing and cooking food, and engaging with guests to ensure an exceptional dining experience. Fast-paced and requiring a strong sense of urgency, the role demands multitasking abilities and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness, stocking, and compliance with health regulations.

Candidates for this role should expect to perform a variety of tasks from measuring and assembling ingredients, rotating stock, to managing queues and upselling to maximize profits. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • previous restaurant/quick service experience preferred
  • basic math skills of adding and subtracting required
  • ServSafe or similar food handling certification preferred

Job Duties

  • demonstrate the highest standards of guest relations and care when assisting guests at the counter
  • give advice, guidance and recommendations on products and menu selection to guests to ensure a positive experience and repeat business
  • ensure adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for the café area
  • manage queues and exceed guest expectations
  • upsell to maximize profit
  • keep café and surrounding areas tidy and clean
  • handle guest complaints in the first instance and report feedback to the leadership team
