The Café BOH/FOH Team Member role at Urban Air Brockton is an integral part of ensuring guest satisfaction within the Urban Air Café. This position is suitable for individuals who thrive in dynamic, hands-on environments and enjoy interacting directly with guests while maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and customer service. Team members will split their time between front-of-house and back-of-house duties including cashiering, preparing and cooking food, serving drinks, and maintaining the café's cleanliness and organization. Efficiency and a sense of urgency are essential, as the role demands fast-paced service while simultaneously upholding exceptional hospitality standards.

In this role, employees will manage guest interactions with professionalism and warmth, providing tailored guidance on menu options and helping to ensure an overall positive experience. Responsibilities also include managing supplies, rotating stock to ensure freshness and compliance with health codes, and actively participating in ongoing training and team meetings. Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • Previous restaurant/quick service experience preferred
  • Basic math skills of adding and subtracting required
  • ServSafe or similar food handling certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate the highest standards of guest relations and care when assisting guests at the counter
  • Give advice, guidance and recommendations on products and menu selection to guests to ensure a positive experience and repeat business
  • Ensure adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for the Café area
  • Manage queues and exceed guest expectations
  • upsell to maximize profit
  • Keep Café and surrounding areas tidy and clean
  • this includes, but is not limited to, table clearing, removing and washing dishes, and taking out the trash
  • Handle guest complaints in the first instance and report feedback to the Leadership Team
  • Work within established guidelines and operating procedures
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Properly cook and store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Rotate stock items as per established procedure
  • Ensure compliance with all health code regulations
  • Maintain clear, well-organized kitchen and storage areas
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and training, as required
  • Other duties as tasked by Leadership
