The role of Café BOH/FOH Team Member at Urban Air Adventure Parks is essential for the seamless operation of the Urban Air Café. This position requires team members to balance tasks between back-of-house (BOH) and front-of-house (FOH) activities, entailing responsibilities in both food preparation and guest service. The successful candidate will spend time preparing and serving food and beverages, managing cash registers, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the café and kitchen areas. The role demands efficiency and a sense of urgency while upholding excellent guest service standards, ensuring every visitor's experience is positive and encourages repeat patronage.
Café Team Members are expected to demonstrate exceptional guest relations skills by offering product recommendations and providing a warm and engaging customer service experience. They manage stock levels of supplies and consumables diligently and are responsible for queue management to maximize sales through upselling. This role also involves food safety compliance, including proper cooking, measuring and storing of ingredients, and maintaining health code regulations. Team members will participate actively in team meetings and training sessions and take on additional duties as required by management. This position offers a dynamic work environment that integrates teamwork, communication skills, and multitasking abilities to support the operations of the Urban Air Café smoothly and efficiently.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
- Previous restaurant/quick service experience preferred
- Basic math skills of adding and subtracting required
- ServSafe or similar food handling certification preferred
Job Duties
- Demonstrate the highest standards of guest relations and care when assisting guests at the counter
- Give advice, guidance and recommendations on products and menu selection to guests to ensure a positive experience and repeat business
- Ensure adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for the Café area
- Manage queues and exceed guest expectations
- upsell to maximize profit
- Keep Café and surrounding areas tidy and clean
- this includes, but is not limited to, table clearing, removing and washing dishes, and taking out the trash
- Handle guest complaints in the first instance and report feedback to the Leadership Team
- Work within established guidelines and operating procedures
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
- Properly cook and store food items at appropriate temperatures
- Rotate stock items as per established procedure
- Ensure compliance with all health code regulations
- Maintain clear, well-organized kitchen and storage areas
- Participate in regular staff meetings and training, as required
- Other duties as tasked by Leadership
