Big Delicious Planet Catering, Canteen & Urban Farm is a hidden gem in the industrial corridor of Chicago's West Town neighborhood. In 2012, owner Heidi Moorman Coudal began transforming three vacant lots into a lush urban farm with over 70 raised garden beds of organic vegetables, herbs, edible flowers, and five beehives. In 2013, Big Delicious Planet became the first caterer in the country to earn 4-Star Certified Green Restaurant status from the Green Restaurant Association, and we still hold the title of "Greenest Caterer in America." We cater weddings, events, and corporate meals, and theCanteen, which was open for nine years before the pandemic, has recently reopened after a four-year hiatus.
