Job Requirements

High school graduate or general education degree (GED) or work equivalent
Good understanding of the English language and previous guest/customer relations training
Food Handlers License - KCMO within 30 days of hire
Liquor License - KCMO within 30 days of hire
Must be willing to complete drug screen and background check in accordance with federal and state laws

Job Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or cafe industry preferred
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations advantageous
Basic math skills for handling cash register operations and retail math calculations essential
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members positively
Passion for coffee culture and eagerness to learn about different brewing methods a plus

Job Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area including equipment utensils and seating areas
Operate cash registers accurately handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Assist in food preparation tasks including baking pastries and preparing light snacks
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers taking orders and addressing inquiries or concerns
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards
Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer satisfaction
