The Cafe Attendant is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, preparing and cooking food promptly and courteously, and operating point of sale systems while adhering to strict cash control procedures. They are expected to serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with Ohio Department of Liquor Control regulations and maintain all health and safety standards mandated by the Cuyahoga County Health Department and other state regulations.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and presentable serving area, which includes the restaurant, bar, and kitchen, is a crucial aspect of this role. The Cafe Attendant also carries out inventory control tasks such as completing weekly inventory sheets and daily restocking of products and supplies. The position may include diverse duties such as operating beverage carts, working concession trailers at park events, and assisting with catered functions. Job Requirements
- Prior food service experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform work with accuracy and organization
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to perform independently with initiative
- Subject to credit check
- Must meet age requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages depending on specific job duties as per Ohio regulations
Job Qualifications
- Prior food service experience preferred
- Basic working knowledge of food and beverage service including cooking and food preparation
- Basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation

Job Duties
