Job Description

Trilogy at La Quinta is a distinctive active adult community nestled against the stunning backdrop of southern La Quinta, California. Known for its spectacular mountain views, it offers residents a lifestyle blended with vibrant activities and opportunities for relaxation. The community boasts a wide array of amenities including world-class golf courses, fully equipped fitness centers, inviting pools, an on-site spa, and the popular Cafe9 Solaz, complemented by two well-appointed clubhouses. This environment nurtures both active days filled with recreation and quiet, peaceful evenings, making it a sought-after destination for those seeking an enriched lifestyle.

The Santa Rosa Club, a pivotal part of the Trilogy community, is currently seeking a dedicated and personable full-time Cafe9 Attendant. This role is integral in delivering exceptional food and beverage service to the community's residents and guests, contributing to a memorable hospitality experience. The position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $18.50 and includes benefits such as medical, dental, and life insurance plans for employees working 30 hours or more per week, starting after 60 days of employment. Additionally, full-time employees accrue paid time off and enjoy seven paid holidays annually. The role also provides eligibility for participation in the company's 401(k) plan, after 30 days of service.

The Cafe9 Attendant at Trilogy at La Quinta will be responsible for serving food and beverages with a friendly and energetic approach. The individual in this position will be trained as needed to prepare specialty coffee and smoothie drinks following standard recipes, assist guests with menu selections, efficiently handle cash and card transactions, and maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment both indoors and on the patio. Reporting to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, this role plays a vital part in upholding the community's reputation for high-quality service and a welcoming atmosphere.

Candidates must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Teamwork and the ability to uphold the core BlueStar values of honesty, integrity, respect, competitiveness, and collaboration are essential. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability for early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Additionally, candidates must have a current Food Handlers card and meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol when applicable.

The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting items up to 20 pounds, often in indoor and outdoor cafe settings where exposure to weather and moderate to loud noise levels is common. The successful candidate will bring a positive attitude, a calm demeanor, and the ability to think quickly and act independently while delivering attentive service that encourages guests to explore and enjoy all the amenities the resort has to offer. Overall, this full-time Cafe9 Attendant position at Trilogy at La Quinta presents an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals seeking to join a reputable company that values its employees and fosters a vibrant community spirit.
