The employment opportunity is part-time with a pay rate of $18.50 per hour plus tips, aiming to attract energetic and personable individuals passionate about service and hospitality.
The position available is that of a Café Attendant, with possibilities of being cross-trained as a Barista, serving food and beverages to guests either indoors or at the patio. Reporting to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, this role demands a proactive and friendly approach to customer interactions, maintaining smooth operations within the café setting. The primary responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, answering menu inquiries with enthusiasm, preparing drinks such as coffee and smoothies by adhering to standardized recipes, and efficiently processing orders by coordinating with kitchen staff. Attention to detail is vital in managing cash and card transactions, ensuring accuracy and prompt refunding of change. The Café Attendant is also responsible for upholding hygiene and safety standards by keeping the work area clean and organized, performing routine maintenance on equipment, and promptly communicating any repairs or safety concerns to supervisors. Familiarity with the resort's facilities is encouraged to enhance guest experience by recommending other available services.
This role is designed for candidates who can balance multitasking under pressure while maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude. As a representative of Trilogy at La Quinta, Café Attendants are expected to embody the core values of the establishment, acting as role models within their team and serving guests with honesty and integrity. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, as the position may require working early mornings, evenings, or weekends. Candidates should be self-motivated, capable of making independent decisions, and comfortable in fast-paced environments that promote continuous improvement. Benefits for this position include eligibility for medical, dental, and life insurance plans for new hourly full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week after 60 days of employment, Paid Time Off (PTO) for full-time employees, paid holidays, Paid Sick Leave for part-time members, and participation in the 401(k) plan after 30 days of service. Trilogy at La Quinta is committed to being an equal opportunity employer, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where talent can thrive and guests receive exceptional service every day.
