The Cafe Ambassador role in the Back Bay location of Boston, MA, is a unique opportunity to be the face of Capital One's community engagement strategy. As a Cafe Ambassador, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable, inclusive experiences within the Cafe environment. This position involves engaging with customers and visitors, helping them overcome technology challenges, introducing them to Capital One’s best-in-class services, and facilitating meaningful conversations about financial well-being. Beyond just customer service, this role is about advocating for financial literacy and supporting community events that foster stronger ties between Capital One and the local neighborhood.
The role is full-time with a salary range between $52,624 and $57,408 annually for the Boston location. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 1 year of retail, sales or customer service experience
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 1 year of retail, sales or customer service experience
- Associate's degree preferred
- 2+ years of retail or customer-facing experience preferred
- Proficient in G-Suite preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills preferred
Job Duties
- Bring the Cafe experience and our brand to life by helping to create an inclusive environment where all customers and team members feel welcome
- Proactively engage with customers and the community in all areas of the Cafe whether youre helping people with tech challenges, showing off our cool services and products, or having deeper conversations about their financial journeys
- Guide customers through goal setting by meeting them where they are and advocating for better financial literacy through discovery and Capital One resources
- Be a team player and work with an energized team of Ambassadors helping to inspire teammates as they inspire you
- Stay curious, adaptable and have a desire to learn and grow through self development
- Continually learn new digital and technical skills
- Partner with local businesses, nonprofits, charities, and the Engagement team to plan events both inside and outside of the Cafe
- Volunteer within the community and be an advocate for financial literacy
