As a Cabana Server, you will play an integral role in maintaining the high standards of Great Wolf’s dining service. You will assist guests in selecting menu items by explaining chef specialties, handling special dietary requests, and suggesting beverage pairings. You will be responsible for placing orders accurately with the kitchen and bar staff and ensuring a smooth dining experience from order to payment. The role demands attention to detail in maintaining table settings, addressing additional guest needs, and promptly managing any spills or other service issues.

Job Requirements

  • Some high school education or equivalent
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Flexible scheduling availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening
  • Able to lift up to 15 lbs
  • Able to bend, stretch, and twist
  • Able to stand for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • Some high school education or equivalent
  • Basic mathematical skills applicable to cash handling
  • Previous server experience preferred
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) technology preferred
  • Proven teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Helps patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails and appetizers, suggesting courses, explaining chef specials, identifying appropriate wines, answering food preparation questions
  • Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' selections, noting special dietary needs and special requests
  • Keeps kitchen staff updated on meal timing
  • Serves orders by delivering selections from bar and kitchen including accompaniments and condiments
  • Responds to additional patron needs by inquiring and observing the dining process
  • Maintains table setting by clearing completed courses, replenishing utensils and refilling water glasses, being alert to spills and special needs
  • Handles payments by issuing bills, accepting payment, returning change or credit card slips
  • Adheres to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect guests and establishment
