The Cabana Server position at Great Wolf Lodge is an essential role responsible for enhancing the dining experience of guests by efficiently and courteously taking food and beverage orders, serving these orders, and handling transactions. The server interacts directly with guests, providing attentive service with a positive and friendly attitude. This role requires the ability to assist patrons in selecting menu items, communicate special dietary needs to the kitchen and bar, and maintain table settings throughout the dining experience. The Cabana Server must ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect both guests and the establishment. This is an hourly position paying $12 per hour, offering flexible scheduling to accommodate business demands including nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Some high school education or equivalent
  • basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) as they apply to cash handling
  • must be flexible regarding scheduling based on business demands including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen

Job Duties

  • Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu
  • offer cocktails and appetizers
  • suggest courses
  • explain the chef's specialties
  • identify appropriate wines
  • answer food preparation questions and understand customer's special needs and/or dietary restrictions
  • Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices
  • identify patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
  • Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  • Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen including accompaniments and condiments from service bars, as requested
  • Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs
