Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2,000 hours as a C-130 flight engineer
  • At least 2 years of C-130 flight engineer experience
  • FAA Flight Engineer Certification or military equivalent
  • Previous aerial firefighting experience preferred
  • Valid FAA 2nd Class Medical Certificate with ECG endorsement if over 40 years old

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Participate in aerial firefighting missions
  • conduct Functional Check Flights (FCF)
  • perform Maintenance Check Flights (MCF)
  • execute Acceptance Check Flights (ACF)
  • attend the annual C-130 Air Tanker Flight Engineer training program
  • participate in aircraft ferry missions both intrastate and interstate
  • ensure flight readiness and safety of C-130 aircraft
