Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history dating back over fifty years. Starting from a single family-owned restaurant, Red Lobster has grown to operate more than 500 locations, each carrying forward the original passion for seafood and coastal cuisine. The company prides itself on being more than just a dining establishment; it is a community-oriented brand that fosters connections between guests and their favorite meals and moments. Red Lobster is committed to providing its employees with a supportive and welcoming work environment, emphasizing inclusivity and equal opportunity for all. As part of its team, employees are not only given the chance to work in a vibrant and dynamic setting but also to advance and grow professionally through continuous training and career development opportunities.
The role of a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is essential in delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests. This position requires a friendly and proactive individual who can welcome guests with a smile and ensure the dining area is efficiently maintained at all times. Busser/Runners are responsible for setting up their station for each shift, keeping tables stocked with necessary silverware and condiments, and assisting with refilling drinks and clearing tables promptly to maintain a clean and inviting atmosphere. Serving as a vital support role for servers, this position involves running hot food orders from the kitchen to the guests in a timely manner, pre-bussing tables, and communicating effectively about table readiness. Maintaining strict adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards is a key aspect of the job. Physical stamina is required, as employees will often be on their feet, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout shifts that can last from 8 to 12 hours. Being a team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask enables the Busser/Runner to thrive in this fast-paced restaurant environment.
Red Lobster offers competitive wages with the benefit of weekly pay, flexible scheduling to accommodate employees' personal needs, and a range of insurance options including medical, dental, and vision plans starting at under $10 per week. Additional benefits include life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits to support employees' well-being. The company also provides a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service to help employees plan for their futures. Recognizing employee milestones, anniversary pay is available to eligible team members. Employees can enjoy discounted shift meals and a 25 percent discount when dining as a guest, fostering a fun and rewarding workplace. Red Lobster's strong commitment to career growth means that employees can look forward to training and development opportunities that help them advance within the company. With big plans for the future, joining the Red Lobster family means becoming part of a company that values its people and is poised for continued success.
