Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant chain with over fifty years of history, known for its deep connection to seafood and coastal cuisine. With more than 500 locations, Red Lobster has established itself as a beloved dining destination across various communities. The company prides itself on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where guests not only enjoy their favorite meals but also feel part of a larger family. Red Lobster stands out not just as a place to eat, but as a community hub where loyal customers and team members build lasting relationships. As part of this vibrant and growing company, employees enjoy a supportive work environment that values diversity, equal opportunity, and career growth.
Red Lobster is currently looking to hire a Busser/Runner to join their team. This hourly position offers competitive wages ranging from $16.50 to $25.00 per hour and features weekly pay to ensure financial stability for team members. The role is highly dynamic, requiring the Busser/Runner to be an essential part of the front-of-house team, ensuring that every guest receives prompt and attentive service. Responsibilities include welcoming guests with a friendly smile, setting up stations for each shift, maintaining clean and well-prepared tables with silverware and condiments, refilling drinks, and promptly pre-bussing tables to maintain a smooth dining flow. Additionally, the Busser/Runner assists servers by running hot food to guests, clearing and resetting tables, cleaning dining areas, and communicating table readiness to the team. Maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness is a critical part of the role, and the Busser/Runner also supports the dish area by breaking down items as needed.
To succeed in this physically demanding position, the ideal candidate must be able to lift up to 30 pounds safely, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods, typically 8 to 12 hours per shift. Teamwork, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities are also important qualities for this role. Red Lobster offers flexible scheduling to accommodate different lifestyles, as well as comprehensive benefits to support employees and their families. These include options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at under $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service. Eligible employees may receive anniversary pay, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest.
Red Lobster is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive workplace by providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. With significant company growth on the horizon, Red Lobster offers not just a job but a career path with training and advancement opportunities to help team members reach their full potential and grow within the organization. Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a family with a future full of promise.
