Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. Originating from a single family-owned restaurant, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved brand with over 500 locations, each one embodying the founding passion to connect people with seafood and coastal flavors. The company is deeply embedded in the communities it serves, creating welcoming environments where new friends quickly become familiar faces. Red Lobster is not just a dining destination; it is a place that values its employees and guests alike, cultivating memorable experiences through excellent food and exceptional hospitality.
The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is an essential part of this guest experience. As a Busser/Runner, you are the first face guests see when they walk into the restaurant, responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere with a friendly smile. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and competitive wages. You will be trained and supported throughout your career, with opportunities to grow and advance within the company. The role also comes with benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at under $10 a week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service. Anniversary pay is also available to eligible employees, alongside discounted meals during shifts and a 25% discount when dining as a guest.
As a Busser/Runner, your responsibilities include setting up the station before each shift, ensuring that silverware and condiments are properly placed on tables, refilling drinks, and pre-bussing to maintain cleanliness throughout the dining area. You will be delivering hot food from the kitchen to guests, assisting servers by providing guest support when needed, and following all food safety and cleanliness standards. Additionally, you will clear dishes from tables, reset them for new guests, clean seats and floors, communicate table readiness effectively, and assist in breaking down items in the dish area. This role requires physical endurance as you will be on your feet for 8 to 12 hours per shift and able to lift up to 30 pounds safely. Attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and being a team player are key qualities for success in this position.
Red Lobster takes pride in its inclusive and welcoming workplace, committed to equal employment opportunities for all individuals regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. The company recognizes the physical demands of the Busser/Runner position and is prepared to provide reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
With exciting growth plans ahead, joining the Red Lobster family now is a great opportunity to be part of a thriving team that values its employees, promotes career development, and delivers exceptional dining experiences to guests every day. This part-time position offers a rewarding work environment where your contributions are valued and your career potential is supported through comprehensive training and advancement opportunities.
