Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned restaurant chain that began as a family-owned establishment with a heartfelt mission to connect people with seafood and the coast. Over fifty years later, the company has expanded to more than 500 locations, standing as a testament to its commitment and passion for delivering memorable dining experiences. Each restaurant seat represents an extension of the founder's original enthusiasm, welcoming guests to enjoy their favorite meals and special moments in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Red Lobster is not just a place to eat but a community hub where new acquaintances become familiar faces and longstanding traditions continue to flourish.
This role as a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering excellent service while supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant. The position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in contributing to a positive dining experience. Employees benefit from competitive weekly pay, flexible schedules, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week. Additional benefits include life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service. Anniversary pay and discounted meals during shifts further enhance the employee experience. Training programs and career development opportunities are also available, ensuring growth within the company.
As a Busser/Runner, you will be the first friendly face customers encounter upon entering the restaurant, greeting them with warmth and a welcoming smile. Your role includes preparing the station before shifts, ensuring tables are set with clean silverware and condiments, filling drinks, clearing used dishes and glassware, and promptly delivering hot food to guests in the hallway. Supporting servers by attending to customers' needs is an essential part of this position, along with maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. You'll be responsible for clearing and resetting tables, sanitizing seats and floors, and communicating available seating to facilitate efficient seating of guests. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to bend, reach, crouch, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, and the capacity to remain standing for shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours. Teamwork, attention to detail, and multitasking skills are crucial qualities for success in this role.
Red Lobster prides itself on fostering an inclusive workplace with equal employment opportunities for all, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. The physical demands are representative of job requirements but accommodations can be arranged for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. This is a great time to join the Red Lobster family, as exciting plans are underway to continue growing and enhancing their presence and impact in the restaurant industry.
