Job Description
Red Lobster is a family-owned restaurant brand that has grown over fifty years with a passion for delivering a connection to seafood and the coast through memorable dining experiences. With over 500 restaurant locations across the country, Red Lobster has established itself as a beloved dining destination where guests feel welcomed and familiar, and employees find rewarding career opportunities. The brand prides itself not only on serving favorite meals and creating special moments for guests but also on being an integral part of the communities it serves.
Working at Red Lobster means joining a dynamic team that values its employees by offering competitive wages, weekly pay, and flexible scheduling to accommodate different lifestyles and needs. Additional benefits include options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at affordable rates under $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and a variety of voluntary benefits that support the well-being of employees and their families. Red Lobster also provides a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service, anniversary pay for eligible team members, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining out as a guest. Importantly, the company invests in career development by providing training and advancement opportunities so team members can grow their skills and progress within the organization.
The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is vital in ensuring guests’ dining experiences are seamless and enjoyable. In this position, team members are welcomed into a culture of hospitality where every interaction starts with a smile, and providing top-notch guest support is a priority. Bussers and Runners are responsible for setting up their stations efficiently, ensuring tables are properly stocked with silverware and condiments, and assisting servers by refilling drinks and pre-bussing tables. They also play a crucial role in maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards by clearing dishes promptly, resetting tables, and cleaning seats and floors regularly.
In addition to supporting the front-of-house operations, Bussers/ Runners often run hot food from the kitchen to guests promptly and communicate table readiness to ensure smooth transitions between dining parties. This role requires physical stamina, as individuals must be able to bend, reach, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and remain on their feet for an entire 8 to 12 hour shift. Being a team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential qualities for success in this position.
Red Lobster embraces diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a welcoming workplace for everyone. The company offers reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, fostering an inclusive environment where all employees can thrive. As Red Lobster looks to a bright future with exciting plans for growth and innovation, joining the team now is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a well-established brand that truly values its people and guests alike.
