Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain that has been bringing the taste of the coast and fresh seafood to communities for over fifty years. Starting from a single location, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved dining destination with more than 500 restaurants across the country. The brand is deeply committed to offering guests memorable meals and moments, building strong ties within the communities it serves, and creating welcoming spaces where new friends quickly become familiar faces. Known for its seafood-centric menu, Red Lobster blends tradition with innovation to celebrate coastal dining experiences and maintain high standards of quality and service. The company values its employees by fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture that encourages growth, development, and career advancement.
Red Lobster is currently seeking motivated individuals for the Busser/Runner position, a crucial role in ensuring seamless restaurant operations and outstanding guest experiences. This role involves multiple responsibilities such as welcoming guests with a friendly attitude, preparing the dining area for service, and supporting servers by clearing tables promptly and running hot food to guests. The position requires attention to detail and physical stamina, as Team Members need to bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds while being on their feet for extended shifts, typically between 8 to 12 hours. Working as a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment where teamwork and communication are essential.
In addition to being part of a large and supportive team, employees enjoy numerous benefits including competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling options, and affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance plans starting at less than 10 dollars per week. Life insurance and short-term disability coverage are also provided, along with voluntary benefits to help safeguard employees and their families. After one year of service, employees become eligible to participate in the 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match, which helps secure their financial future. Red Lobster also offers anniversary pay to acknowledge and reward employee loyalty, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25 percent guest discount when dining out. The company emphasizes internal growth by providing ongoing training and career development opportunities, encouraging team members to advance within the organization and realize their full potential.
Red Lobster embraces diversity and inclusivity as core values, maintaining an equal opportunity work environment free of discrimination. It is committed to providing a welcoming workplace for everyone, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. This commitment ensures that employees feel respected and valued, setting the foundation for excellent service to guests and a positive workplace culture. Those who join the Red Lobster family find more than just a job—they find a place to grow, belong, and contribute to big plans on the horizon for the company’s bright future.
