Job Description

Red Lobster is a well-established restaurant chain specializing in seafood and coastal cuisine with a rich history spanning more than fifty years. Originally founded as a family-owned restaurant, Red Lobster has grown to operate over 500 locations, each inspired by its founding passion to provide guests a special connection to seafood and coastal dining experiences. The company prides itself on being more than just a place to eat, cultivating a community environment where new friends become familiar faces. As a prominent player in the restaurant industry, Red Lobster focuses on delivering memorable meals and moments for guests while also fostering an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture for its employees.

The position of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation and exceptional guest experience within each restaurant. Bussers and Runners provide critical support to the front-of-house team by ensuring that tables are promptly cleared, reset, and maintained, and that guests receive their meals and beverages efficiently. This role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a dedication to adhering to food safety and cleanliness standards. In addition to welcoming guests with a smile, Bussers and Runners actively contribute to the overall pace and flow of service by assisting servers, communicating table availability, and performing a variety of tasks that enhance the dining environment.

Red Lobster offers weekly pay and competitive salaries to attract and retain dedicated employees. The company provides flexible scheduling options to accommodate varying personal needs and commitments, making this an attractive opportunity for those seeking a balance between work and life. Employees can take advantage of comprehensive insurance options, including medical, dental, and vision plans starting at less than $10 per week. Additional benefits consist of life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. The company also offers a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions after one year of service, anniversary pay contingent on eligibility, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest.

Career growth is encouraged at Red Lobster through training and advancement opportunities. The company is committed to helping employees develop professionally and progress in their careers in the hospitality and food service industry. Red Lobster’s inclusive environment promotes equality and diversity, ensuring that all employees are treated with respect and dignity regardless of age, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or veteran status. The company recognizes the physical demands of the Busser/Runner role and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable employees with disabilities to perform essential job functions successfully.

Overall, working as a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster offers a unique opportunity to be part of a large and respected restaurant family that values quality service, team cohesion, and community involvement. Team members can expect supportive management, a welcoming work culture, growth potential, and competitive benefits that enhance both personal and professional life.
