Job Description
Red Lobster is a highly recognized and beloved family-owned seafood restaurant chain that traces its origins back over fifty years. Born from a deep passion for providing guests a special connection to seafood and the coastal dining experience, Red Lobster has expanded to over 500 locations. Each restaurant operates as an extension of the founding vision, emphasizing a warm, welcoming environment where people can enjoy delicious meals and create memorable moments. Red Lobster is much more than a place to eat; it fosters close ties within its communities where new friends quickly become familiar faces. The company is known for quality seafood offerings, a friendly atmosphere, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. With a wide range of career opportunities and a supportive workplace culture, Red Lobster attracts individuals who want to grow and develop their skills in the hospitality industry.
The role of a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is an essential position that supports the restaurant’s daily operations and overall guest experience. This full-time or part-time position involves various responsibilities such as welcoming guests with a smile, setting up the dining station before shifts, ensuring tables are properly equipped with silverware and condiments, and assisting servers by running hot food orders and refilling drinks. This position requires working collaboratively with the front-of-house team to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the restaurant. Busser/Runners also clear and reset tables efficiently to keep the dining area ready for new guests. The role demands a high level of energy, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Physical capabilities are important as the work involves standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and safely lifting items up to 30 pounds. Additionally, Busser/Runners must be team players who contribute to a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for every guest.
Beyond the daily tasks, Red Lobster values its employees by offering competitive wages with weekly pay and flexible scheduling to accommodate varying needs. Employees have access to affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than ten dollars per week. Additional benefits include life insurance, short-term disability insurance, and various voluntary benefits. Red Lobster also supports employee financial wellness with a 401(k) retirement savings plan that features a company match after one year of service. Staff members can enjoy perks such as discounted shift meals, a 25 percent discount when dining as guests, and anniversary pay for eligible employees. Career development is an important aspect of this company, with training opportunities designed to help team members advance and grow within Red Lobster's expanding, dynamic environment. The company proudly maintains an equal opportunity workplace that embraces diversity and inclusivity, making Red Lobster a welcoming employer for all individuals regardless of background or identity. With exciting growth plans on the horizon, joining the Red Lobster family is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for stability, community engagement, and career advancement in the restaurant industry.
