Job Description

Red Lobster is a prominent family-owned seafood restaurant chain with over 500 locations, known for its commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience centered around fresh seafood and coastal flavors. Founded more than fifty years ago with a vision to connect people to the sea and coast through delicious meals and memorable moments, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved brand that not only serves food but builds community connections. Each restaurant is designed to be a welcoming environment where new friendships flourish and guests enjoy familiar comfort and quality. As part of this long-standing tradition and ongoing expansion, Red Lobster offers a vibrant workplace culture dedicated to employee growth and customer satisfaction. With a focus on diversity and inclusion, the company embraces a family mentality, providing opportunities for career advancement and personal development within a respectful and supportive setting.

The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is integral to maintaining the high standards of hospitality and service that guests expect. This position is offered as a full-time or part-time opportunity with competitive wages and weekly pay, catering to employees seeking flexible scheduling to balance work and personal life. Bussers/Runners are responsible for setting the tone of the guest experience from arrival by warmly welcoming each guest, ensuring that the dining environment is orderly and inviting. The role involves preparing stations before shifts, maintaining table settings with silverware and condiments, and assisting servers by transporting hot meals promptly to guests. Attention to cleanliness and food safety is paramount, as employees clear and reset tables efficiently while keeping seating areas and floors clean to uphold the restaurant’s hygiene standards.

Physical stamina and teamwork are essential qualities for this role since employees spend extended periods standing and moving within the restaurant. Bussers/Runners must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 30 pounds safely and demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively under a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Communication skills play a key role, especially in coordinating table readiness and providing seamless support to servers ensuring an excellent flow of service.

Working at Red Lobster means enjoying significant employee benefits including medical, dental, and vision options starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. Additionally, employees have access to a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service, anniversary pay eligibility, discounted meals during shifts, and guest dining discounts. The company invests in employee development through training programs to help individuals pursue career growth opportunities within the restaurant industry.

Red Lobster’s commitment to equitable employment practices is firm, embracing diversity and providing equal opportunities for all applicants and team members regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status. As the company anticipates exciting future developments, joining the Red Lobster team offers a chance to be part of a thriving, inclusive community dedicated to excellence and shared success.
