Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant chain that began over fifty years ago with a vision to create a unique connection between diners and the coast. From its humble beginnings, Red Lobster has expanded to over 500 locations, each serving as an extension of its founding passion to provide guests with exceptional seafood and memorable dining experiences. The company takes pride in being more than just a restaurant; it is a vibrant part of the communities it serves, where new friends become familiar faces and every meal is an opportunity to set the table for favorite moments. Red Lobster is committed to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment for all employees and guests, emphasizing equal employment opportunities and diversity.
The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to join a reputable company with a supportive work culture and numerous benefits. This position is integral to maintaining the smooth flow of service in the restaurant by ensuring that guests have a clean, comfortable dining environment. As a Busser/Runner, you will be the face of Red Lobster's hospitality, greeting guests with a smile and promptly addressing their needs throughout their visit. The role involves preparing the station before shifts, keeping tables fully stocked with silverware and condiments, and assisting servers by refilling drinks and clearing dishes in a timely manner.
Additionally, Busser/Runners run hot food to guests, support servers when needed, and uphold strict food safety and cleanliness standards. This role requires physical stamina due to the demands of bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds, and standing for extended periods of time, often between 8 to 12-hour shifts. Red Lobster values team players who possess attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy restaurant environment.
Working at Red Lobster comes with a host of attractive benefits including competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling options to accommodate work-life balance, and affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. Employees also have access to life insurance, short-term disability, and various voluntary benefits to support their well-being. After one year of service, team members are eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match, providing a valuable pathway for long-term financial security. Additional perks include anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest.
Red Lobster is committed to employee growth and development, providing training and career advancement opportunities to help team members build fulfilling careers within the company. This makes the Busser/Runner position not only a job but a chance to be part of a forward-thinking organization with big plans for the future. Joining Red Lobster means becoming a valued member of a family-focused company that aims to cultivate a workplace where everyone feels welcomed and appreciated. The organization proudly stands as an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to fostering an inclusive team environment regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status.
