The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is an entry-level position that plays a crucial part in creating a positive dining experience by maintaining cleanliness, assisting servers, and ensuring that guests feel welcome. This role requires a friendly demeanor, a strong work ethic, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Busser/Runner, you are often the first and last point of contact for guests during their visit, making your role essential in delivering top-notch customer service.

Responsibilities include welcoming guests with a warm smile, preparing your station for the shift, setting tables with silverware and condiments, refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables, running hot food from the kitchen to guests, supporting servers, adhering to all food safety and cleanliness standards, clearing dishes, resetting tables, cleaning seats and floors, communicating table readiness, and assisting in breaking down items in the dish area. Physical stamina is important as the role involves standing for long periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds safely.

Job Requirements

  • Must meet the minimum age requirement and authorized to work in the country you are applying
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 30 pounds safely
  • Ability to move about the restaurant and remain standing for an 8 - 12 hour shift
  • Team player with attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Welcoming every guest into our restaurant with a smile
  • Setting up station for the shift
  • Ensuring silverware and condiments are on the table
  • Refilling drinks and pre-bussing
  • Running hot food to guests when ready in alley
  • Providing guest support for Servers as needed
  • Following all food safety and cleanliness standards
