Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain celebrated for its commitment to delivering fresh seafood and memorable dining experiences inspired by the coast. Established over fifty years ago as a family-owned restaurant, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved institution with more than 500 locations nationwide. Each of their restaurants retains the founding passion of connecting people with the tastes and traditions of coastal seafood. The company prides itself on being more than just a dining establishment; it serves as a community hub where guests can enjoy their favorite meals, share special moments, and connect with familiar faces. Red Lobster is deeply embedded in the communities it serves, fostering a welcoming and friendly environment for both customers and employees alike.
As a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, you will play a vital role in ensuring that each guest's experience is seamless and enjoyable. Your duties will include welcoming guests with a friendly smile, preparing dining areas for service, maintaining clean and well-stocked tables with utensils and condiments, assisting with drink refills, and promptly clearing away used plates and glassware. You will also deliver hot food directly to customers when it is ready in the kitchen pass, provide crucial support to servers, and help maintain the restaurant’s cleanliness and organization by resetting tables and cleaning seats and floors. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and an ability to multitask effectively, all while ensuring compliance with safety and food hygiene standards.
Red Lobster offers competitive wages with weekly pay and flexible scheduling designed to support your lifestyle. Additionally, employees have access to affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, along with life insurance, short-term disability, and other voluntary benefits. The company also provides a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching after one year of service, anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster invests in its people by offering training and career advancement opportunities, helping you build a rewarding future within the company. Notably, the physical demands of the Busser/Runner role require standing for 8 to 12-hour shifts and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely, emphasizing the importance of stamina and safety-conscious work practices.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a global family dedicated to great food, excellent service, and meaningful community connections. The company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, ensuring an inclusive and supportive workplace where all can thrive. With promising plans for growth and innovation, an employment opportunity at Red Lobster is more than a job - it is a chance to grow, learn, and contribute to a respected brand that values its people as much as its guests.
