Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain that has been serving guests for over fifty years, dedicated to providing a unique connection to seafood and the coastal experience. Established with a passion to offer something special, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved iconic brand with over 500 restaurants across communities it serves. The company prides itself on its warm atmosphere where new friends become familiar faces and where every meal is a cherished moment for guests. Red Lobster values community, quality, and hospitality, creating a workplace and dining environment that reflects its commitment to both guests and employees alike.
This role is for a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster, an essential position that contributes significantly to the guest experience and overall restaurant operations. The Busser/Runner is responsible for providing timely and attentive support to both guests and servers. This includes welcoming guests warmly as they enter the restaurant, ensuring dining areas are well-prepared with silverware and condiments, and maintaining cleanliness throughout service. The role requires running hot food to guests promptly, refilling drinks, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting in dish area maintenance. This position demands excellent teamwork, a positive attitude, and physical stamina to manage various tasks in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Red Lobster offers competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling to accommodate personal availability, and affordable healthcare options including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week. Employees also receive life insurance benefits, short-term disability coverage, and voluntary benefits. After one year of service, team members can participate in the 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching. Other perks include anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster invests in training and career development opportunities so team members can advance and grow within the company.
The Busser/Runner position is physically demanding and requires the ability to stand for long shifts of 8 to 12 hours, bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds. Success in this role necessitates attention to detail, multi-tasking capabilities, and being an effective team player. Red Lobster promotes inclusivity and equal opportunity in hiring, embracing diversity and providing a welcoming workplace for all employees regardless of their background. The company encourages prospective employees to join their vibrant, supportive team to be part of exciting future opportunities as Red Lobster continues to evolve and grow. Overall, working as a Busser/Runner at Red Lobster offers not only a job but a chance to be part of a passionate community committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering employee growth.
