Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history that began over fifty years ago as a single family-owned restaurant. Known for its commitment to providing guests with exceptional seafood dining experiences, Red Lobster has grown to operate over 500 locations, each embodying the same passion and dedication to quality and community. The company prides itself on being more than just a dining destination; it is a place where new friends become familiar faces, and where every meal is an opportunity to create lasting memories. Rooted in a connection to seafood and coastal traditions, Red Lobster remains dedicated to delivering fresh, flavorful meals and outstanding service in a welcoming environment.
This role offers part-time employment with weekly pay and competitive wages, catering to individuals seeking flexible scheduling alongside valuable career opportunities. Benefits offered include affordable medical, dental, and vision plans starting at under $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match after one year of service. Additional perks include anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest.
The position of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is integral to the smooth operation of the restaurant front-of-house service. This dynamic role involves welcoming guests with a friendly smile, preparing the station for shifts, ensuring table settings are complete with silverware and condiments, and assisting servers by running hot food efficiently from the kitchen to the diners. The Busser/Runner is also responsible for refilling drinks, pre-bussing tables, clearing dishes, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness of seating areas and floors. Communication with team members about table readiness and support tasks such as breaking down items in the dish area are essential components of the job.
Physical demands of the role include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and stay on one’s feet for shifts lasting between 8 to 12 hours. Teamwork, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities are crucial for success in this fast-paced environment. Red Lobster is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform their essential job functions.
This is an exciting time to join Red Lobster, as the company looks ahead to significant growth and continued enhancement of its team and restaurants. The brand is dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace that embraces diversity, equal employment opportunity, and respect for all individuals regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Being part of the Red Lobster family means joining a team that values community, career growth, and delivering memorable dining experiences every day.
