Job Description

Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant chain with over fifty years of history, passionately dedicated to bringing people closer to the coast through memorable dining experiences. With more than 500 locations, Red Lobster has established itself as more than just a dining destination; it is a vibrant part of the communities it serves. At its core, Red Lobster embodies a culture of hospitality where guests come not only for exceptional seafood but also for the warmth and familiarity of a welcoming environment where new friends become familiar faces. The company prides itself on its commitment to quality, community engagement, and fostering a supportive workplace for its employees. This rich heritage and focus on community connection create a unique atmosphere where every member of the team plays a vital role in creating unforgettable moments for guests.

The Busser/Runner role at Red Lobster is an essential position within the restaurant team that supports both guests and servers to ensure an efficient, clean, and friendly dining experience. This full-time or part-time position offers competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling to accommodate different lifestyles, and eligibility for benefits such as medical, dental, and vision starting at less than ten dollars weekly. Additional perks include life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service, anniversary pay subject to eligibility, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Opportunities for career growth and training are provided to employees interested in advancing within the company.

As a Busser/Runner, you will be the first face to greet guests, setting the tone for their dining experience with your friendly smile. Your responsibilities include setting up your station for the shift, ensuring tables are fully stocked with silverware and condiments, refilling drinks, and pre-bussing tables to maintain a clean and inviting environment. You play a critical role in running hot food from the kitchen to guests swiftly and accurately while supporting servers to deliver excellent customer service. Adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards is mandatory to uphold the restaurant's high standards. Your role also extends to clearing and resetting tables promptly, cleaning seats and floors, and effectively communicating table readiness to servers. Collaborating closely with dish area staff to break down items is also part of your duties, ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The physical demands of the role require the ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and remain standing during 8 to 12-hour shifts. Red Lobster encourages a team-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic, social settings and are enthusiastic about contributing to a team that values guest satisfaction and community connection. Reasonable accommodations are available to support employees with disabilities in fulfilling the essential functions of the job. As Red Lobster looks toward an exciting future filled with growth opportunities and innovation, there has never been a better time to join their family. The company is an equal opportunity employer that fosters a welcoming and inclusive workplace free from discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a supportive team committed to excellence, career development, and enriching the dining experience for guests every day.
