Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established, family-owned restaurant chain that has been serving fresh seafood and coastal-inspired meals for over fifty years. From a single location to over 500 restaurants, Red Lobster has built a strong reputation by connecting guests with high-quality meals and memorable dining experiences. The company emphasizes community involvement, making every restaurant a welcoming space where new guests become familiar faces and cherished customers. This commitment to quality and community creates a unique and inviting atmosphere for both guests and employees alike.
Working at Red Lobster means being part of a passionate team dedicated to excellence not only in food but also in service. The company offers competitive wages with weekly pay, making it a reliable source of income. Flexible scheduling allows employees to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, Red Lobster provides comprehensive benefits such as options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than 10 dollars per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and various voluntary benefits. Employees have access to a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service, anniversary pay based on eligibility, discounted shift meals, and a 25 percent discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster invests in training and career development opportunities, allowing employees to advance and grow within the company.
The role of a Busser/Runner is crucial to the smooth operation of the restaurant and the satisfaction of guests. As a Busser/Runner, you will be responsible for welcoming guests with a friendly smile, setting up your station before the shift, ensuring tables have the right silverware and condiments, refilling drinks, and pre-bussing tables to prepare them for new guests. You will assist servers by running hot food to diners promptly and providing additional guest support when needed. Maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness is essential, including clearing tables, resetting them promptly, cleaning seats and floors, and communicating when tables are ready. Additionally, you will help in breaking down items in the dish area, contributing to an efficient workflow.
The job requires physical stamina, including the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds. You must be able to move throughout the restaurant and stand for shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours. Being a team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask is vital to succeed in this role. Red Lobster is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcomes a diverse workforce. They are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive workplace that respects every employee's unique background and contributions.
Joining Red Lobster as a Busser/Runner means joining a team with big plans for the future. The company values its employees and strives to create a positive work environment with many opportunities for career growth. If you are passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this is the perfect role to build your hospitality career and be part of a respected brand with a legacy of quality and community.
