Job Description

Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. Originally starting as a family-owned establishment, the company has grown to operate more than 500 restaurants across the country, each embodying the founding passion of connecting people with the best seafood and coastal dining experience. The brand prides itself on more than just serving food; it is about creating a welcoming environment that feels like an extension of family, fostering community connections, and celebrating moments shared over favorite meals. Red Lobster emphasizes a culture where new friends become familiar faces, highlighting the importance of warm hospitality and excellent service. The company continuously invests in employee growth, providing training and career development opportunities to foster long-term success and advancement.

The position of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant by supporting servers and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience. This is a part-time or full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling that can accommodate varying personal needs. Red Lobster offers competitive weekly pay and benefits including affordable health, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week. Additional benefits include life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service, anniversary pay for eligible employees, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount for guests dining in the restaurant. This role is critical to the team as it helps uphold the company’s commitment to high-quality service and cleanliness, guaranteeing that guests enjoy their meals in a comfortable and inviting setting.

As a Busser/Runner, the employee will be responsible for greeting each guest warmly, preparing stations for the shift, ensuring tables are set with utensils and condiments, refilling beverages, and clearing dishes promptly. The role requires delivering hot food orders freshly prepared in the kitchen to guests efficiently and assisting servers with customer needs as required. Maintaining strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines is essential, including promptly cleaning tables, resetting them, and keeping seating areas and floors tidy. Communication with the host team regarding table availability is also a key duty. The job demands physical stamina for standing long periods and performing tasks such as bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds safely. Successful candidates should be detail-oriented, able to multitask efficiently, and thrive in a team environment that values collaboration and guest satisfaction.

Working at Red Lobster means being part of a family dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences while advancing personal and professional growth. The company fosters an inclusive and equitable workplace, committed to equal opportunity employment for all individuals regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Aspiring team members have the opportunity to grow within a company that values hard work, dedication, and passion for the hospitality industry. There is no better time to join the Red Lobster family and contribute to its promising future in the restaurant industry.
